IT Officer (holding the functional title of System Analyst) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 534581) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
. Develop and maintain in-house web applications and websites, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure solutions
. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-driven improvements in workflows and services
. Collect requirements, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide training for the systems
. Ensure all solutions comply with ethical standards, data privacy regulations, and University policies
. Stay updated on emerging trends in AI, web technologies, and software development, and proactively recommend innovative solutions and
. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
. A good Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or other related disciplines
. Minimum of 5 years solid programming and system development experience, preferably with knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
. Strong knowledge of web technologies including PHP, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
. Experience with PHP frameworks and Linux web server setup
. Sound knowledge with AI applications
. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
. Friendly interpersonal skills, self-motivation, a strong sense of responsibility, and ability to work as a good team member and
. Capable of multi-tasking and delivering satisfactory results within timeframe.
