Job Description

Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers products. As of 2024, TSMC serves more than 500 customers and manufactures over 11,000 products for high-performance computing, smartphones, the Internet of Things (IoT), automotive, and digital consumer electronics. It is the world's largest provider of logic ICs, with an annual capacity of 16 million 12-inch equivalent wafers. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and the Company began construction on a specialty technology fab in Dresden, Germany, in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Lead AI and Digital Engineering initiatives to optimize and transform business processes within TSMC's Corporate Planning Organization (CPO), with a focus on automation, data analytics, and business intelligence.

2. Develop and implement AI-powered solutions, including end-to-end system architectures that integrate machine learning models, containerized applications, and Kubernetes clusters.

3. Spearhead business process re-engineering efforts to achieve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

4. Design advanced solutions and conduct innovative research to address complex challenges in capacity planning, production control, and supply chain optimization.

5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of AI techniques into intelligent systems and enterprise workflows.

6. Conduct experiments to validate and refine AI solutions in real-world scenarios, ensuring reliability and scalability.

7. Stay ahead of emerging AI/ML technologies, frameworks, and methodologies, and apply them to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

8. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data science teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Job Qualifications:

1. M.S. or Ph.D. in Information Management, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or AI-related field.

2. 10+ years of working experience in the semiconductor industry, supply chain management, digital transformation. At least 2 years in a leadership or management role.

3. Expertise in the AI or Digital product lifecycle, including data processing, model training, tuning, and deployment.

4. Experience with foundational AI techniques, multi-agent systems, workflow technique, and digital engineering solutions.

5. Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

6. Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

7. Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and strategic mindset with a focus on delivering impactful AI and digital products.
