Job Description

Job Summary:

The scope covers the management and support on Infrastructure, Servers and End-user working environment to ensure satisfied IT services and less interruption on business operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management and issue resolving of Network according to plans, tasks and incidents
  • Responsible for the management, operations, issue resolving of Windows and Linux servers, ensure timely and proper patching, troubleshooting and recovery.
  • Lead the IT helpdesk to manage all IT issues at user-end, ensure timely support for incidents by providing appropriate workaround or solutions. Also work as level 2 to support IT helpdesk appropriately
  • Support the management and issues of Oracle database. Work with Application owners, DBAs and overseas IT teams on Oracle database system for incident and operations.
  • Work across teams to manage IT assets for the associated solutions and operations, including the device of network, voice, and user-end
  • Actively build the relationship with stakeholders to understand the demands, evaluate and recommend IT solutions for end users from technology and process perspectives based on cost and benefits.
  • Learn and utilize Flight Deck methodology of GE Aerospace to make improvements, collaborate with IT groups and stakeholders to explore, justify and prioritize the opportunities
  • Work with IT team to manage suppliers and contracts of IT services
  • Ensure all IT solutions and technology are tested per requirements before production; as well as the upgrade, patching and compliance after production according to policy and regulations
  • Ensure IT demands and tasks follows the processes of Incident, Problem and Change, and utilize appropriate report measure to track and present the status
  • Continuous learning and development of personal technology, management skills and leadership according to IT development and demands

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of IT experience; experience in the manufacturing industry is strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience in network management and troubleshooting, with solid knowledge of network infrastructure, including VLAN and WAN
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to actively participate in meetings with overseas IT teams
  • Familiarity with Shell scripting, YAML, and JSON
  • Working knowledge of project management, process management, and continuous improvement/LEAN; capable in at least one of these areas
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proactive, responsive, and customer-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow with the team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possess relevant experience in managing and troubleshooting Linux and Windows servers, as well as providing end-user support
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing and troubleshooting Oracle databases
  • Understanding of databases and SQL programming
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity

Preferred Training and Certifications

  • ITIL Foundation, CCNA, PMP is preferred
  • Programming certificates or Database certificates
