Job description
My client is the operator of a world-class integrated leisure destination and a high-profile landmark in the regional tourism sector. They manage a unique ecosystem involving large-scale specialized infrastructure, curated retail, and premium guest services. We are seeking a strategic yet hands-on IT director to lead their digital roadmap and ensure the seamless operation of their mission-critical technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Governance: Develop a long-term IT roadmap aligned with business growth manage the total IT budget (CAPEX/OPEX), licensing, and procurement while driving technological innovation for operational efficiency.
- Operational Excellence (BAU): Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring 24/7 stability and performance of core infrastructure, cloud platforms (M365/SaaS), and workplace technology to support high-volume business activities.
- Project & Systems Delivery: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of IT projects-from infrastructure upgrades to cloud adoption-ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and meets stakeholder requirements.
- Infrastructure & Application Lifecycle: Manage the configuration and scalability of business applications and infrastructure, ensuring robust integration between internal systems and third-party services.
- Cybersecurity & Risk Management: Enforce rigorous security protocols (Firewalls, Endpoint Protection, Access Controls) and ensure strict compliance with regulatory standards and data protection requirements.
- Strategic Vendor Management: Direct multiple outsourced service providers define SLAs, monitor performance, and act as the primary escalation point to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a bridge between technical teams and senior management, translating complex IT matters into clear, actionable business insights.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Proven Track Record: Minimum 15 years of relevant IT experience, with at least 6 years in a significant leadership or managerial role.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of modern IT infrastructure (On-prem/Cloud), business system integration, and advanced cybersecurity principles.
- Vendor Mastery: Strong experience managing complex outsourced environments and third-party service providers.
- Leadership Style: A strategic thinker who is equally comfortable with hands-on execution must possess the gravitas to manage senior stakeholders and the agility to work in a medium-to-large enterprise environment.
- Communication: Exceptional command of English and Cantonese, with the ability to influence at all levels.
