Avallis Investments holds a full Capital Markets Services (CMS) licence and specialises in External Asset Management (EAM), Portfolio Management and Fund Management.
We serve a discerning client base comprising High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth Individuals, Institutional Investors and Family Offices. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced, client-focused Investment Adviser/Consultant to join our team.
Role Overview
As an Investment Adviser / Consultant, you will work closely with our Relationship Managers and report to the Chief Investment Officer. You will play a key role in providing investment advice, portfolio recommendations and market insights to clients, supported by in-depth financial market analysis.
The ideal candidate is analytical, commercially minded, client-focused and comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality investment advisory services to private wealth clients, including the formulation of investment strategies and portfolio recommendations.
- Analyse global financial markets, macroeconomic trends and investment opportunities to support client portfolio decisions.
- Assess clients investment objectives, risk tolerance, time horizon, liquidity needs, and return expectations.
- Develop and maintain investment policy statements and portfolio strategies aligned with clients goals.
- Deliver timely investment ideas, trade recommendations and market updates to Relationship Managers and clients.
- Support the buying and selling of securities in client accounts in line with approved investment strategies and objectives.
- Review portfolio performance and recommend adjustments where appropriate.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients by providing regular portfolio updates, market views and investment insights.
- Ensure investment activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, investor disclosures, privacy obligations, anti-money laundering rules and anti-fraud measures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners and counterparties, including private banks, brokers, investment banks, custodian banks and trustees.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Banking or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an investment advisory, portfolio advisory, wealth management, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of capital markets, asset classes, investment products, and portfolio construction. Proficient in asset classes including equities, fixed income, alternative assets, and structured products.
- Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial markets and identify investment opportunities.
- Client-focused mindset with strong relationship management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Relationship Managers, investment teams, clients and external counterparties.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, problem-solving and written communication skills.
- Sound judgment, strong sense of urgency and high standards of professional and personal integrity.
- Relevant regulatory qualifications and experience in private wealth or EAM platforms would be advantageous.
