About the position
The Inventory Management Manager will play an important role in supporting reliable and efficient supply chain operations across APAC. This position is responsible for managing inventory availability, replenishment planning, and stock control for assigned markets, while working closely with sales teams and regional/global supply chain stakeholders. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to respond quickly to changing demand, and a continuous improvement mindset to ensure accurate inventory data, optimized stock levels, and effective support for customer requirements.

About The Team
SSAB Special Steels has global responsibility for sales of SSAB's quenched and tempered (Q&T) steels and advanced high-strength steels (AHSS) as well as for steel and plate production in Oxelösund, Sweden, and Mobile, USA.
About the position
The Inventory Management Manager will play an important role in supporting reliable and efficient supply chain operations across APAC. This position is responsible for managing inventory availability, replenishment planning, and stock control for assigned markets, while working closely with sales teams and regional/global supply chain stakeholders. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to respond quickly to changing demand, and a continuous improvement mindset to ensure accurate inventory data, optimized stock levels, and effective support for customer requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage inventory planning, control, and availability for assigned countries/markets, ensuring optimal stock levels across the covered areas.
- Coordinate replenishment orders from Europe and the Americas to APAC, and follow up with Supply Chain teams in EMEA/US to secure delivery confirmations.
- Monitor demand, forecast changes, customer requirements, control slow and deah stock, obsolescence risks, and corporate directives to support timely inventory decisions.
- Partner closely with country sales teams and supply chain stakeholders to ensure accurate demand information and effective planning to meet customer needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory data in the system, conduct regular reviews of slow-moving and dead stock, and organize, coordinate, and reconcile the annual stock take.
- Contribute to improvement and automation initiatives, provide backup support for regional logistics when needed, and undertake other duties or projects assigned by the line manager.
- University degree or equivalent
- Solid understanding of inventory replenishment concepts
- Experience working in SAP Business One is preferred
- Basic Knowledge of Logistics such as freight, warehousing and domestic distribution is preferred
- Advanced Excel skills is a must with eye for details
- Warm, mature personality and love to interact
