Instructional Designer

【Role Overview】

TutorABC delivers live, AI-matched English lessons to hundreds of thousands of learners worldwide — and the curriculum you design will be at the center of every one of those classrooms. We're looking for an Instructional Designer who can turn sound pedagogy into learning experiences that students genuinely enjoy: interactive, game-informed, and built for the virtual classroom.

This is a hands-on creative role. You'll own materials end-to-end — from concept and design through testing, iteration, and launch — for learners ranging from preschoolers to working professionals.

【Key Responsibilities】

1. Curriculum Design and Development

• Develop Learning Materials: Design and refine lesson plans, teaching materials, activities, and digital assets across our preschool, kids, and adult programs.

• Create Interactive Lessons: Use games, discussions, collaborative tasks, and strong visual design to increase learner participation.

• Test and Improve: Proofread and test materials to ensure they are accurate, engaging, and easy for teachers to deliver.

2. AI & Digital Innovation

• AI Literacy: Utilize AI-driven tools and advanced computer skills to streamline content production and accelerate research, production, and lesson prototyping.

• Explore New Formats: Develop new activity types and digital learning experiences for live online classrooms.

• Follow EdTech Trends: Stay informed about emerging developments in AI, educational technology, and instructional design.

3. Data-Informed Improvement

• Respond to Results: Refine materials using classroom data and feedback from learners, clients, teachers, and academic leadership.

• Research Learner Needs: Monitor local and international ELT trends and adapt content for different learner groups and markets.

4. Academic Quality & Collaboration

• Standardization: Maintain 100% accuracy in linguistics and pedagogy across all proprietary and publisher-integrated materials (Oxford, Cambridge, Barron's, etc.).

• Team Synergy: Collaborate with the Academic Directors to ensure the global faculty is equipped with high-impact tools for success.

【Qualifications & Requirements】

• Education: University degree in English Education, Linguistics, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.

• Technical Skill Set: High literacy in computer and AI tools is a highly preferred skill set. Strong computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn new software and content-production tools.

• Teaching Background: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience is highly desirable to ensure a learner-centric approach to design.

• Experience: 1+ years in curriculum development and practical experience using generative AI, or a strong willingness to integrate AI into your workflow.

• Pedagogical Knowledge: Familiarity with international curricula and English teaching methodologies. TKT certification is a plus for children's education tracks.
