Job Description

About the Role

We are building an IT organization that, over the next 18 months, will move from a set of standalone services toward an All-in-One platform and a layer of customized self-service workflows. The IT Solutions team is the engine of that transformation: it takes business needs surfaced by our IT Business Partners and turns them into reliable, deployable, and maintainable IT solutions across infrastructure, security, and data.

We are looking for a hands-on, execution-driven IT Manager to coordinate daily technical delivery and supervise a growing team of engineers. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical execution and business requirements, enforcing high engineering standards, driving process automation, and ensuring operational stability across our core IT environment.

What You'll Own

Solution Execution & Delivery (40%)

  • Translate functional requirements from IT Business Partners into clear, maintainable technical configurations and system setups.
  • Ensure daily technical solutions adhere to security standards, cost targets, and long-term maintainability guidelines.
  • Promote standardization across deployments to avoid one-off builds and align with our self-service platform roadmap.

Domain Operations & Security (30%)

  • Provide daily operational and technical guidance across four core pillars: networking, IT asset management, IT security, and data workflows.
  • Oversee implementation of key security controls: Identity & Access Management (IAM), SSO/IdP configurations, network policies, and endpoint security.
  • Assist with vendor operational management—monitoring vendor SLAs, tracking outage reports, and managing ongoing software, hardware, and network subscriptions.

Automation & Process Optimization (15%)

  • Drive practical, day-to-day automation: zero-touch onboarding/offboarding, automated permission provisioning, and standardized user workflows.
  • Monitor operational KPIs such as account provisioning success rate, average automated deployment time, and first-week access issue resolution.
  • Help evaluate and implement modern operational tooling, including pilot scripts and automated workflows for team efficiency.

Project & Asset Coordination (15%)

  • Manage execution timelines for IT initiatives, keeping key stakeholders updated on progress, technical blockers, and risks.
  • Coordinate IT asset tracking (procurement, inventory management, user assignments) to ensure costs are accurate and attributed to the correct business units.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers/technicians, managing daily task distribution and technical escalations.

What We're Looking For

Experience & Qualifications

  • 4–6 years in IT infrastructure, system administration, or solution engineering, with 1–2 years in a supervisory, team lead, or senior project-handling capacity.
  • Proven track record of configuring and deploying IT infrastructure and software solutions based on business requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge across networking, endpoint/asset management (MDM), IT security (IAM/SSO), and data integrations.
  • Hands-on proficiency with modern IT management stack: IdP (Okta/Azure AD/Google Workspace), MDM (Jamf/Intune), and automation tools.
  • Practical experience tracking vendor performance, SLAs, and maintaining accurate hardware/software inventories.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience running concurrent small-to-medium IT projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; working proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Infrastructure & Integration: IAM/SSO setup, MDM deployment, system configuration, basic API integration, SaaS management (e.g., Google Workspace, Lark).
  • Automation & Engineering: Scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell), automated provisioning workflows, system monitoring, zero-touch deployment.

Core Competencies

  • Technical Execution: Ability to break down business needs into actionable technical tasks for execution.
  • Team Supervision: Ability to guide junior engineers, assign tasks effectively, and maintain operational discipline.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to workflow automation tools, scripting for task orchestration, or AI-assisted IT productivity tools.
  • Experience maintaining asset management systems linked with procurement or finance records.
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced technology or multi-regional enterprise environment.
