Industrial Designer – ISG Enterprise
What if your design work powered the infrastructure behind every breakthrough in AI, cloud, and modern computing What if the products you shaped operated at a scale most designers never get to touch
We're looking for an Industrial Designer to help define the next generation of enterprise systems—servers, racks, and infrastructure that form the digital backbone of the world's most ambitious organizations. This is design at full complexity, where airflow, liquid cooling, density, and serviceability are part of the creative challenge—and where form, clarity, and brand still matter deeply.
As AI and accelerated computing reshape hardware, you'll help design the very systems that make AI possible—scaling across dramatically different performance and thermal demands, and translating complexity into cohesive, thoughtful products used at global scale. We also expect you to be actively exploring how AI is transforming the way design itself gets done.
What You'll Do
- Design at every layer: Drive industrial design across dense, modular systems—from individual server to full rack to datacenter-scale deployments—where technical rigor and design craft converge to deliver best-in-class solutions that serve a global end-user perspective.
- Raise the AI bar: Help elevate the team's use of AI-enabled design workflows—modeling best practices, sharing what works, and pushing the collective capability forward.
- Design with engineering: Partner closely with mechanical and thermal teams to resolve airflow, liquid cooling integration, structure, and manufacturability—while preserving and elevating design intent.
- Strengthen the whole: Collaborate tightly with usability, CMF, design systems, and software ecosystem teams to deliver cohesive, end-to-end experiences across the design team.
- Navigate design partnerships: Move fluidly across the spectrum—from leading internally driven design to shaping outcomes within partner and reference design constraints.
- Make complexity legible: Translate technical architectures into clear, intuitive experiences—from install through service.
- Deliver to production: Carry ideas from concept through CAD, CMF definition, validation, and launch.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years designing complex, engineered products
- Strong CAD (Creo preferred) and visualization skills
- Deep understanding of materials, manufacturing, and DFMA
- Ability to design across a range of compute and cooling architectures
- Proven collaboration across disciplines and matrixed teams
- Portfolio showing shipped, technically complex products
- Hands-on familiarity with AI design tools—generative image, 3D, rendering, or workflow automation—and a genuine curiosity about where these tools are headed and how they can elevate hardware design practice
Why This Work Matters
These products won't sit on a desk—they sit at the core of cloud, AI, and enterprise infrastructure. You'll be designing the hardware that powers the AI revolution—while using AI to reshape how that design gets done. This is a chance to bring design leadership into one of the most technically demanding spaces—and make it better.
