The RAM Taiwan Manager is responsible for supporting the Taiwan-based RAM Operations and RDA shift organizations, with a strong integration and engagement mandate with the Boise ID1 RAM team. This role will directly manage Taiwan-based ID1 RAM shift reports and serve as a critical bridge between regional execution and global RAM strategy.
Safety & Quality
- Completes all required safety training and ensures all work is conducted in accordance with Micron safety policies
- Performs safety audits, good catches and mentors team members on safety programs and initiatives
- Improves safety behaviors and processes for their work environment through analyzing and sharing safety data
- Drives a safety culture by requiring safe behaviors and sets the example for safety
- Acts as the primary contact for all area safety/emergency situations for the operation team in terms of response and reporting
- Drives quality improvement initiatives in the area
- Tracks QDRs in assigned areas with emphasis put on human QDR follow up and lessons learned
RAM Performance
- Drives actions to improve scheduling, automation, and area setup to support performance to benchmark metrics
- Optimizes new node introduction by understanding and managing the impacts
- Identifies area KPIs and coach the shift supervisors to ensure they understand and enforce these KPIs
- Creates, anticipates, communicates, and adjusts area priorities to meet dynamic Fab challenges
- Drives key metrics such as reducing cycle time and increasing utilization, availability and turns
- Interviews and selects leadership candidates
- Owns logistics for short-term tactical planning including staffing, resources, and structure
- Uses, and mentors on, tools to monitor and manage area performance and efficiency
- Determines area capabilities to help maximize Fab performance boundaries
Communication/Collaboration
- Develops and leverages critical partnerships to support R&D and ID1 performance and improvement
- Partners with IE and ODI to understand, optimize, and communicate the capacity for the area including having an advanced understanding of tactical capacity planning
- Escalates personnel and line issues to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Manages and informs shift teams of upcoming changes they will need to adjust to such as; new procedures, new tasks, new safety requirements, etc.
Team Development and Performance Management
- Conducts performance management and professional development of direct and eventual reports
- Knows Micron policies and partners closely with HR where appropriate
- Mentors supervisors to ensure continuous improvement of skill and succession management
Successful Candidates Must Have The Following Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in leading, developing and performance managing teams
- Demonstrated ability to continuously learn and self-improve
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Proven skills in team building between Operations and Engineering groups
- Demonstrated skill in leading teams in defining and solving equipment throughput problems, quality improvement, and cost reductions
- Demonstrated capability in creating and prioritizing projects that lead to increasing die shipped and decreasing die costs
- Proven ability in developing and mentoring others
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Power Point, Word, Excel), including functions, formulas, and charts
- Advanced knowledge of 300mm MES, Capacity Planning, Floor Scheduling, Line Management systems and all related reporting tools
- Advanced knowledge of semiconductor equipment and processes
- Demonstrated ability to establish a safe, positive, and values-based work environment
Education And Experience
- BS or equivalent experience is required.
- Previous leadership experience is required. Fab specific leadership experience is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of fab manufacturing experience is preferred.
- English: TOEIC score of 730+
