The Role:
Our client is an MNC and seeking for a dynamic HR Manager to lead all human resources functions for their manufacturing facility in Taiwan. This pivotal role is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support a workforce of 100-200 employees, ensuring operational excellence, legal compliance, and a positive, productive work environment. The ideal candidate will be both strategic and practical, capable of managing day-to-day HR operations while driving long-term organizational development.
Key Responsibilities:
This role will be reporting directly to the Senior HR Director, Asia
1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for all levels, from production operators to technical and supervisory staff.
- Develop effective sourcing strategies, including local job fairs, agency partnerships, and digital platforms.
- Oversee onboarding programs to ensure new hires are integrated smoothly and effectively.
2. Training & Development:
- Conduct training needs analysis and develop annual training plans.
- Coordinate and deliver training sessions, including safety induction, technical skills, quality standards, and soft skills development.
- Support career development and succession planning initiatives to build a strong internal talent pipeline.
3. Performance & Compensation Management:
- Implement and manage the performance review process, providing coaching to line managers on feedback and goal setting.
- Administer the factory's compensation and benefits structure, ensuring internal equity and external market competitiveness.
- Manage payroll coordination with finance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
4. Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, fostering a culture of open communication.
- Proactively manage employee relations, mediate disputes, and conduct investigations as needed.
- Ensure 100% compliance with all local Taiwan labor laws and regulations (Labor Standards Act, Gender Equality in Employment Act, etc.).
- Maintain and update all HR policies and the employee handbook.
5. HR Operations & Strategy:
- Maintain accurate employee records and manage HR data systems.
- Prepare HR metrics and reports on turnover, attendance, training, and other KPIs for management review.
- Assist in developing and managing the HR department budget.
- Partner with factory management to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
The Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Possesses HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, or local equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience with proven experience in handling full-spectrum HR duties: recruitment, C&B, training, ER, and performance management in a manufacturing or industrial work environment. In addition, min 2 to 3 years in a managerial role
- Possesses an in-depth, practical knowledge of Taiwan labor laws and employment regulations is mandatory.
- Experience working in an international or multinational corporation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a high sense of integrity and confidentiality.
- Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems, Workday is preferred.
- Proficient in English, Mandarin and Taiwanese Hokkien
