Job Description

The HR Manager will oversee the entire spectrum of Human Resources functions in Taiwan, ensuring alignment with business objectives and organizational growth. This role acts as a strategic partner to management, driving talent development, employee engagement, and compliance with local labour laws. In addition to core HR responsibilities, the HR Manager will lead and support global HR initiatives such as CSR, Local Workday implementation, and employee well-being programs, positioning HR as a key driver of company culture and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Partner with management to design and implement HR strategies that support business growth and organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide insights on workforce planning, succession management, and organizational development.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, from workforce planning and job postings to interviews and onboarding.
  • Build employer branding initiatives to attract top talent in Taiwan's competitive market.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and integration of new hires through structured orientation programs.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Develop, maintain, and administer compensation structures, pay plans, and benefits programs.
  • Lead the annual compensation review exercise
  • Oversee payroll and benefits administration in compliance with Taiwan regulations.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management, addressing workplace issues, grievances, and employee demands.
  • Organize engagement activities such as team-building events, annual galas, and wellness programs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.

Performance Management & Development

  • Lead performance appraisal cycles and coach managers on effective feedback and development planning.
  • Support career development initiatives and succession planning.
  • Promote continuous learning through training programs and leadership development.

HR Projects & Global Initiatives

  • Lead or coordinate HR projects including CSR, Taiwan Workday HRIS Implementation, Ride 4 Good, and insurance programs.
  • Align local HR practices with global HR strategies and corporate sustainability goals.

Compliance & HR Administration

  • Ensure compliance with Taiwan labour laws and corporate HR policies.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports for management.
  • Manage the HR budget, ensuring efficiency and alignment with company strategy.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of solid HR generalist experience, preferably in the fashion or retail industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Taiwan labour laws, compensation, and benefits administration.
  • Proven experience in HR project management (CSR, employee engagement, HRIS).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with management and employees.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and proficient in English (written and spoken).
  • Proactive, people-oriented, and passionate about building a positive company culture.
