Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HSE & Fire Safety Engineer to support health, safety, environmental and fire safety activities at a large-scale facility.
The successful candidate will ensure compliance with applicable regulations and site requirements, support safe operations, and promote a strong safety culture across the workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain HSE and fire safety procedures and programmes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable HSE, environmental and fire safety regulations.
- Manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) and high-risk work activities.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments and safety observations.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and safety drills.
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Monitor fire safety systems, inspections and maintenance activities.
- Conduct safety inductions, training and awareness programmes.
- Maintain HSE documentation, reports and compliance records.
- Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
- Liaise with relevant authorities, contractors and stakeholders on HSE and fire safety matters.
- Support continuous improvement of workplace safety standards.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Fire Safety, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant HSE / Fire Safety experience.
- Experience in large-scale facilities, industrial or critical environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of local HSE and fire safety regulations.
- Familiarity with PTW, risk assessment, incident investigation and emergency response.
- Fire Safety Manager certification in Taiwan is preferred/required.
- Good communication skills in Mandarin and English.
