Position Overview
- The person will be assisting the CFO / FP&A manager in both regular and ad hoc assignments, including monthly P&L forecast, post-closing analyses, annual budgeting, simulation analyses for major customer tender process, etc.
- The role will require the person to conduct analysis, identify key findings, draw conclusions, and present results in a clear and professional format.
- This is a corporate headquarters role based in Taipei and part of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team.
- Experience in equity research / investment banking / logistics industry is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
General Responsibilities
Regular and ad hoc assignments include:
- Post month-end closing P&L analysis.
- Rolling monthly, quarterly and 3-year forecasts.
- Regular performance tracking reports.
- Annual budget planning process.
- Simulation analysis for major customer annual tender processes.
- Ad hoc financial modeling to support operational and financial improvement and assist business decision-making.
Task-level Responsibilities
To accomplish the assignments, the person will be required to commence the following tasks:
- Conduct analysis, identify findings, draw conclusions and present result in a clear and professional format.
- Develop a strong understanding of the company's internal transaction flows and financial data structure.
- Extract and process raw transaction data across multiple operating / accounting systems
- Periodically update analytical reports according to standard templates.
- Build and construct financial models according to instructions and business needs.
Education/Technical Skills
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Additional experience with financial modeling is an advantage.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
Background/Work Experience/Other Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in financial reporting / planning and analysis.
- Experience in equity research / investment banking / logistics (including freight forwarding) industry is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, with the ability to draw meaningful conclusions from data.
- Capable of working under pressure and potentially tight timelines.
- Strong team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fast learner with proactive and self-motivated mindset.
