This position, based at the Global Headquarters, is responsible for designing, optimizing, and implementing the company's global Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and supply chain resilience frameworks under the ESG department. The role ensures that all operational backup strategies, subcontractor risk management processes, and contingency protocols are standardized, consistent, resilient, and compliant across our freight forwarding network. It also includes coordinating regional tabletop simulation exercises, aligning the BCP program with global ESG ratings, and developing customized routing and recovery workflows to mitigate geopolitical, environmental, and partner-related disruptions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- BCP Framework & Policy Management: Develop, implement, and maintain the company's global Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework and contingency plans under the ESG department, ensuring alignment with international standards (e.g., ISO 22301) and corporate governance requirements.
- Subcontractor & Partner Risk Assessments: Conduct systematic continuity risk evaluations of critical third-party partners (including ocean/air carriers, local drayage providers, and contract warehouses) to identify operational single points of failure and formulate contingency options.
- Route Diversion & Disruption Strategy Design: Actively monitor global geopolitical risks, weather-related events, and labor situations (e.g., port strikes) to design practical operational response protocols and alternative cargo routing plans for regional hubs.
- Simulation Exercises & Incident Readiness: Plan and execute regular tabletop exercises, simulation drills, and crisis communication tests with global and regional operations teams, converting static BCP manuals into active organizational readiness.
- Governance Compliance & Audit Support: Support corporate governance and compliance initiatives by documenting, tracking, and presenting the company's supply chain resilience and continuity capabilities during client RFP audits and corporate governance reviews.
ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Technical Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Risk Management, ESG/Sustainability, or a closely related discipline.
- Familiarity with business continuity management standards (e.g., ISO 22301) and global supply chain risk-monitoring tools.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and process mapping/flow-charting tools for creating and documenting operational contingency workflows.
Knowledge/ Work Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in business continuity planning (BCP), supply chain risk management, or ESG governance, ideally within an international freight forwarding, 3PL, or global shipping environment.
- Solid understanding of logistics network vulnerabilities, including port operations, global ocean/air trade lanes, and third-party subcontractor dynamics.
- Proven experience in preparing supply chain resilience documentation or BCP frameworks for multinational client audits.
- Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese to facilitate seamless coordination across regional operating offices and global carrier networks.
