Head of Technology

Our client in the BFSI is currently looking for a hands on Head of Technology to drive the regional technology strategy, software development, and digital transformation initiatives across their Asia offices.

As the Head of Technology, you will be the architectural anchor and innovation engine for the firm. You will balance high-level regional infrastructure and cybersecurity governance with hands-on leadership of software engineering teams building cutting-edge internal platforms.

Key Priorities for the Role:

• Move beyond legacy workflows. You will actively evaluate and implement emerging AI technologies and automation tools to supercharge investment analysis, risk management, and operational efficiency.
• Guide code quality, system design, and data architecture for proprietary platforms that support critical investment and reporting functions.
• Design and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across all Asia offices while enforcing bulletproof cybersecurity and data governance policies.
• Ensure all digital assets and tech deployments comply with shifting APAC regulatory and compliance frameworks.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• At least 10 years of tech leadership with a proven track record in financial services, asset management, or fintech environments.
• Equal comfort reviewing code/architecture and managing complex cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines.
• Practical experience delivering automation and leveraging AI/ML workflows within a regulated environment.
• Experience managing teams and navigating compliance landscapes across major Asian markets.
