Head of Regional Business Management
Lead the strategic management and performance of a multi-market banking business portfolio, ensuring sustainable growth, effective governance, and alignment with the organization's long-term business objectives. The role is responsible for driving commercial performance, enhancing operational effectiveness, managing key stakeholder relationships, and supporting the successful execution of strategic initiatives across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business strategies, operating plans, and budget frameworks to support sustainable growth and market expansion.
- Monitor business performance against financial and operational targets, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing appropriate corrective actions.
- Foster collaboration across business units and strategic partners to enhance client outcomes, business synergies, and revenue generation.
- Support the development, promotion, and delivery of banking products and services to meet evolving customer and market needs.
- Review and provide oversight on credit policies, business proposals, risk considerations, and portfolio performance while promoting prudent risk management practices.
- Lead and coordinate strategic transformation programmes and major business initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, and service quality.
- Maintain effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders and support adherence to applicable regulatory and governance requirements.
- Champion the integration of sustainability, ethics, and organizational values into business planning and decision-making processes.
- Drive talent management initiatives, including workforce planning, succession planning, performance management, and leadership development.
- Prepare and present business insights, management reports, and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams, ensuring effective resource utilization and achievement of business objectives.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience within the banking or financial services industry, including a significant track record in leadership positions.
- Proven experience managing business performance, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement within a complex organizational environment.
- Strong understanding of risk management, governance, regulatory expectations, and business management practices.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale business, operational, or transformation initiatives.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive growth while balancing risk, operational, and customer considerations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Outstanding communication, influencing, and relationship management skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Strong people leadership capabilities with a passion for talent development and building high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in English and Chinese additional language capabilities would be advantageous.
