Key responsibilities

  • Provide full leadership and management to the Fabric Development & Procurement departments in Southern China, ensuring high efficiency and achievement of all performance targets.
  • Define and implement departmental strategies, work plans, and operational workflows to maximize team productivity and meet company objectives.
  • Oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply chain process for fabrics, ensuring superior quality, on-time delivery, and effective cost control.
  • Manage supplier selection, relationship management, and performance evaluation.
  • Drive the fabric development process to create innovative and commercially viable materials that align with high-fashion standards.
  • Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure consistency from development through to bulk production.
  • Lead and execute group-wide product development projects for core and target categories, from initial concept to final production.
  • Ensure all new product initiatives are aligned with market trends, customer requirements, and the company's strategic goals.
  • Participate in resource planning and budget management for the development and procurement functions.

Role requirements

  • Diploma in Textile Technology, Fashion Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in R&D
  • Proven expertise in managing the full product development lifecycle for high-fashion/apparel products.
  • Strong, established network of fabric suppliers and in-depth knowledge of textile manufacturing processes and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, budget management, and driving operational excellence.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing teams.
  • Fluent in Chinese and English.
