Job Description

  • Position: Head of Procurement & Strategic Partnerships
  • Location: Bukit Batok
  • Working hours: 5 Days Work Week - 8.30AM to 5.30PM
  • Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $12,000 + AWS + Variable Bonus + 14 Days of Annual leave
  • Duration: Perm

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Group-wide procurement strategies to improve cost efficiency, supplier performance, and purchasing leverage across subsidiaries.
  • Lead negotiations with key suppliers, vendors, OEMs, and technology partners to secure strategic partnerships and commercial value.
  • Consolidate purchasing activities where beneficial to achieve economies of scale and strengthen procurement governance.
  • Build long-term vendor, OEM, and technology partnerships to enhance the Group's competitiveness and solution capabilities.
  • Evaluate supplier technologies, product innovations, and partnership opportunities to support business growth.
  • Analyse product profitability, ROI, and market potential to identify higher-margin product and solution offerings.
  • Work closely with engineering, sales, and business units to improve solution competitiveness and support commercialisation of new offerings.
  • Support the strategic development of the Kulai manufacturing facility, including OEM manufacturing opportunities, new product lines, and supply chain integration.
  • Assist in strategic initiatives such as Industrial Park and Data Centre development, including partner engagement, feasibility assessment, and commercial collaboration.
  • Conduct market, competitor, and technology trend analysis to support Group-level strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Support the COO and senior leadership team on key commercial, procurement, manufacturing, and growth initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
  • 12-18 years of leadership experience in engineering, industrial, infrastructure, manufacturing, or technology-related sectors.
  • Strong experience in procurement strategy, vendor management, commercial strategy, or strategic partnerships.
  • Proven track record in negotiating large supplier, vendor, OEM, or technology partnership agreements.
  • Experience in product, solution, or business portfolio development within technical industries.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, or regional business operations will be an advantage.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse margins, ROI, market trends, and business opportunities.
  • Strategic, hands-on, and able to work closely with senior stakeholders across multiple business units.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese clients who can converse in Mandarin only
