Head of Engineering-Leading FinTech Organisation

A leading FinTech organisation is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead its engineering function and drive the development of scalable, cloud-native technology platforms. Reporting to the Group CTO, this is a senior leadership role responsible for defining the engineering strategy, building high-performing teams and delivering secure, resilient and innovative digital products. Working closely with Product, Data and Business leaders, you will shape the technology roadmap and drive engineering excellence across the organisation.

Responsibilities

You will lead the engineering strategy and oversee the end-to-end delivery of scalable digital platforms, ensuring high standards of architecture, quality, security and operational performance. Partnering closely with Product and Data teams, you will translate business priorities into technology roadmaps while championing modern engineering practices, including cloud-native architecture, DevOps, CI/CD and automation.

You will build and develop high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement. You will establish engineering best practices, drive platform reliability and scalability, and provide strategic technology leadership to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

You have at least 15 years of software engineering experience, including significant leadership experience building and scaling engineering teams within FinTech, SaaS or other technology-driven organisations. You possess strong expertise in cloud-native technologies, microservices, APIs and modern software engineering practices, with a proven track record of delivering complex digital platforms.

You are a collaborative leader with excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of translating business strategy into engineering execution. You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments and are passionate about building high-performing teams and delivering exceptional technology solutions.
