As Head of Capital Markets – Taiwan, you will serve as the strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing JLL's capital markets vision across Taiwan. You will lead a high-performing team of investment professionals, originate and close complex transactions across all major asset classes—including office, industrial & logistics, retail, hospitality, and alternatives (e.g., data centers, life sciences, multifamily)—and position JLL as the undisputed advisor of choice for institutional investors, developers, private equity firms, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.
This role carries full P&L accountability and requires a proven track record of scaling profitable businesses, cultivating C-suite relationships, and delivering integrated, cross-functional solutions in alignment with JLL's APAC and global strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, multi-year business strategy to grow JLL's capital markets franchise in Taiwan—driving revenue, profitability, market share, and talent development.
- Originate and execute landmark investment sales, acquisitions, joint ventures, and portfolio transactions across all real estate sectors.
- Serve as the foremost subject matter expert on Taiwan's capital markets landscape, providing actionable insights on pricing, investor appetite, regulatory shifts, and emerging trends.
- Cultivate and steward long-term relationships with top-tier domestic and international capital partners, including sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, REITs, private equity firms, developers, and ultra-high-net-worth families.
- Lead end-to-end transaction processes—from mandate acquisition and due diligence to financial modeling, marketing, negotiation, and closing—ensuring flawless execution and client satisfaction.
- Drive cross-selling opportunities by collaborating closely with JLL's Leasing, Valuation, Project & Development Services, Debt Advisory, and Research teams to deliver holistic client solutions.
- Manage P&L performance, including budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and headcount planning, with a focus on sustainable, high-margin growth.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier talent while fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture aligned with JLL's values and DEI commitments.
- Represent JLL externally at industry forums, media engagements, and client events to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.
- Provide regular performance reporting and strategic updates to APAC and global leadership.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in real estate investment sales, capital markets, or private equity, with significant focus on the Taiwan market.
- Demonstrated success in originating and closing large-scale, complex transactions across multiple asset classes.
- Proven P&L ownership and experience scaling a professional services or advisory business in Taiwan.
- Extensive, active network among institutional investors, developers, and financial intermediaries in Greater Taiwan and internationally.
- Deep understanding of Taiwan's real estate regulatory environment, foreign investment policies, and capital controls.
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (written and spoken); additional Asian languages are a plus.
