Job Summary: 

The PC Test Engineer -Systems will play a critical role in testing of laptop that integrate with 

software hardware components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in hardware 

testing, particularly in relation to PC components, and will be responsible for ensuring the 

quality and functionality of software applications in conjunction with hardware systems. 

Responsibilities: 

∙Conduct thorough testing of software applications on various PC hardware platforms, 

ensuring compatibility and performance. 

∙Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve hardware and software 

integration issues. 

∙Utilize testing tools and methodologies to validate software functionality, performance, 

and reliability. 

∙Document test plans, test cases, and test results, providing clear communication of 

findings to stakeholders. 

∙Participate in the software development lifecycle, contributing to design reviews and 

providing feedback on hardware-software interactions.1 

∙Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on industry trends and emerging 

technologies. 

Mandatory Skills:​

The System Validation Tester validates laptop and desktop PC platforms at system, application, 

and hardware levels to ensure product quality and release readiness. 

Responsibilities include executing functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing 

across operating systems, drivers, firmware, and applications. The role involves identifying 

defects, documenting clear reproduction steps, assessing issue severity, and supporting root-

cause isolation across hardware and software components. The tester collects and analyzes logs 

and system data to support issue investigation. Additional duties include validating new 

hardware configurations and system features, maintaining test environments, reviewing test 

plans, and communicating validation progress, risks, and system readiness using bug tracking 

and validation tools. 

Preferred Skills: 

∙Familiarity with platforms and related testing experiences. 

∙Knowledge of software development lifecycle and testing concepts. 

∙Testing Experience. 

∙Proactive attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges. 

Qualifications: 

∙Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

∙Demonstrated motivation for self-learning and professional development. 

∙Excellent interpersonal skills.
