Job Description

Description

At Ring, we build devices that help people feel safer at home and we're looking for a Hardware Technical Program Manager to help us do that better and faster. Based in Taipei, you'll coordinate hardware development across multiple engineering disciplines, keeping programs on track from early design through to production. You'll work with cross functional teams to ensure designs stay aligned with product goals, and collaborate regularly with overseas teams and suppliers to move concepts into reality. This is a hands-on coordination role in a fast-moving environment, and fluency in English and Mandarin is required.

Key job responsibilities

As a Hardware Technical Program Manager in this role, you will track development progress across electrical, mechanical, camera, audio, power, and thermal engineering teams, ensuring deliverables stay on schedule and aligned with product requirements.

You will own day-to-day milestone tracking, identify risks early, and escalate blockers to keep programs on schedule. You will run structured design review checkpoints, maintain clear status reporting, and drive accountability across cross-functional stakeholders. You will also contribute to building and improving program management processes that support organized, scalable hardware development across multiple concurrent programs.

A day in the life

Your day typically starts with a check-in on program status across the hardware teams you support reviewing where design reviews stand, what's blocked, and what needs to move before end of day. You'll spend a good portion of your time in cross-functional syncs with engineers across electrical, mechanical, systems, camera, audio, power, and thermal disciplines, making sure dependencies are visible and nothing is falling through the cracks. When issues surface and they will you're the one pulling the right people together, clarifying the problem, and driving toward a decision.

A significant part of your week involves working across time zones. You'll be in regular contact with overseas teams on design direction and implementation, and coordinating with production suppliers on manufacturing readiness.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 2+ years of analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentations experience
  • 4+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
