Hardware Test Engineer
(HW Lab Engineer - Sensors Validation)
Responsibilities:
- In charge of Touch/motion/haptics/health sensors validation testing
- Set up tests and test fixtures for Sensor characterization/validation following test SOP. Perform HW performance validation test on Pixel HW (phones, watches, buds, etc.).
- Set up and maintain lab space, equipment, tools, and materials of a Hardware (HW) R&D Lab. Assist with assembly and repair of test fixtures.
- Track and organize test devices.
- Execute scripts for test protocols, data collection, device/equipment control and data processing.
- Report testing and fixture issues. Organize, store and report raw data and analysis results.
- Provide engineering test support. Work with Sensor Engineers to conduct necessary validation and characterization tests for NPI, NTI or debug.
- Using ADB commands to capture bug reports
Qualifications:
- B.S. or above in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on exp. w/ electronics, hardware (HW) lab work and equipment
- 0-3 yrs of exp. w/ general HW testing
- Exp. w/ MS-Office or Google Workspace (G Suite) productivity tools such as Sheets, Docs, and Drive and large datasets.
- Exp. w/ executing Python script and operating computer GUI interface
- Hands-on ADB commends is a plus
- Exp. utilizing diagnostic tools such as multimeters & oscilloscopes to narrow down failing signature
- Exp. w/ High repeatability work
- Documentation management
- Strong analytical skills and structured way of working
- Proactive in identifying and resolving problems.
- Ability to speak and write in Mandarin and English fluently and idiomatically.
- Ability to achieve objectives with little direct support and to report the advancement
- To be rigorous, autonomous and to manage the priorities
Others:
- Bilingual capability is required (Mandarin & English).
Mandarin speaking/reading is essential skill in HCLTech Taiwan.
