Hardware Test Engineer

(Power Supply Testing Engineer | WPC-Qi)

Responsibilities

• Test and Debug of Prototype Power Devices and Circuits.
• Validate Performance of Power circuits and devices for Efficiency, Output noise, Ripple, Regulation, Peak, etc.
• Write and maintain LabVIEW and/or Python scripts to Automate testing.
• Setup and maintain Lab space, tools, and materials of a Hardware R&D Lab.
• Capture Data and Log test results.
• WPC-Qi compliance and IOP validation support

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics, or equivalent practical exp.
• 3+ yrs exp. w/ in Testing for Low Power consumer electronic embedded stack.
• Strong Test plan and Test case writing skills
• Exp. on handling lab equipment such – Multimeter, Power Analysers (Monsoon), Oscilloscope, Power Analysers, etc.
• Exp. in testing for Power Measurement, Power Profiling for consumer devices.
• Ability to understand PCB schematic & Layout diagrams.
• Exp. in Embedded Linux Environment
• Understanding Wireless Charging Standard such as Wireless Power Consortium (WPC)-Qi compliance.
• Python programming skill is a plus
• Proficiency in English Speaking & Listening. TOEIC: >600 or equivalent certificate

Others:

• Bilingual capability is required (Mandarin & English).

Mandarin speaking/reading is essential skill in HCLTech Taiwan.

• Must demonstrate initiative & ownership of assigned responsibilities
• Ability to work collaboratively & openly w/ cross-functional Team Leaders, members & client
• Soft Skills: Good listener, sense of humor, open minded, respect, patience, resolving issues, etc.

• Taiwan APRC is required w/ expat.
