Responsibilities
- IoT System Design & Implementation: Lead the schematic design and PCB layout review for IoT Gateway products, ensuring robust system stability and optimized communication performance for smart building applications.
- Sensing & Signal Acquisition: Design precision sensing circuitry for CT Sensors (50A/200A) and CT Modules, focusing on low-level signal acquisition, noise filtering, and high-resolution A/D conversion.
- Protocol Integration & Automation: Develop and integrate DALI Modules and various industrial/building communication protocols (Modbus, CAN, etc.) to ensure seamless interoperability within automation control systems.
- Edge Computing Hardware Optimization: Optimize ARM-based SoC/MCU hardware architectures to balance edge computing performance, power efficiency, and thermal management requirements.
- Test & Validation: Create comprehensive test plans, execute validation tests (signal quality, functional capability), and document results.
- Market Analysis: Conduct teardowns and competitive analyses of new products to stay ahead of industry trends.
Minimum Qualifications
- Core Experience: Proven experience in hardware design for Edge Computing platforms using ARM-based SoCs or high-performance MCUs, with a strong grasp of high-speed signal integrity.
- Product Expertise: 3+ years of experience in the development and mass production (MP) of smart building, industrial automation, or IoT devices (e.g., Building Gateways, IoT Hubs, or Smart Sensors).
- OS Familiarity: Familiarity with hardware design requirements for systems running RTOS or Linux.
- Tool Proficiency: Proficient in OrCad Capture CIS, Power PCB, and Allegro.
- Component Knowledge: Deep understanding of electronic components (R/L/C, MOSFETs, BJTs, Logic ICs, Sensors) and battery applications (e.g., Li-ion rechargeable batteries).
- Reliability & Compliance: Strong knowledge of ESD, EMI, Surge protection, and Hi-Pot testing standards.
- Debugging Skills: Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers for hardware debugging.
- Thermal: Understanding of thermal solutions and heat dissipation design.
- Protocols & Interfaces: Expert knowledge in hardware design and debugging for industrial communication interfaces, including DALI, RS-485 (Modbus), CAN bus, UART, and Ethernet.
