Hardware Engineer

ElmorLabs is a small, hands-on engineering company focused on developing hardware, firmware, and software for PC applications, especially products for performance tuning, cooling and power measurement. We take ideas from early concepts through design, sourcing, manufacturing, and final product, which means the work is practical and varied.

We are looking for a full-stack hardware engineer who enjoys owning the full product lifecycle: circuit design, PCB development, prototyping, bring-up, validation, debugging, and coordination with suppliers and factories. The right person is good at problem solving, self-directed, and comfortable working across hardware, firmware, and software when needed. An interest in DIY is a major advantage.

Basic Requirements

•Experience in circuit design and layout

•Working proficiency in English

•Working proficiency in Chinese

•Taiwanese citizen or already holding a valid work permit in Taiwan (such as APRC)

Core Responsibilities

•Circuit schematic and layout design

•Prototyping, bring up, and debugging

•Validation & testing

•Manufacturing coordination with factories and suppliers

Extra qualifications

•Idea seeding for improvements or new products

•Firmware bring up for testing (initialize MCU, sensors etc)

•Software bring up for testing (communicate with device/fw)

•Knowledge of PC ecosystem and standards (ATX, PCIe etc)

•Familiarity with AI tools (Claude, Copilot, GPT etc)
