Your future tasks:
Policy Engagement & Advocacy
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to policy and regulatory developments affecting the offshore wind sector.
- Engage with national and local government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry associations to influence policies aligned with company interests.
- Draft and submit position papers, consultation responses, and policy briefings.
Stakeholder Management
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with government officials, policymakers, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Monitor and influence permit requirements relevant to offshore wind energy, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborate with policymakers to address regulatory challenges and promote sustainable offshore wind development.
- Represent the company in meetings, forums, and public consultations to promote offshore wind interests.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., permitting, development, legal, communications) to ensure consistent external messaging.
Strategic Support
- Provide strategic advice to the leadership team on political and regulatory risks and opportunities.
- Support bid teams during auction processes by ensuring alignment with governmental expectations and securing stakeholder backing.
- Contribute to risk assessments, stakeholder mapping, and engagement plans for key markets or projects.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Track trends in energy policy, climate goals, and offshore wind development frameworks.
- Provide regular updates and insights to internal stakeholders on legislative and regulatory developments.
- Prepare and present reports, recommendations, and action plans to senior management.
Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Environmental Studies, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or policy advocacy, preferably in the energy, infrastructure, or renewables sector.
- Strong understanding of the offshore wind industry and the political, regulatory, and permitting landscape.
- Demonstrated success in influencing policy and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
- Excellent communication skills in Mandarin Chinese and English, preferable working experience in international companies
- Ability to navigate internal and external complex multi-stakeholder environments and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- High level of political acumen and cultural sensitivity.
- Cultural sensitivity when engaging diverse stakeholder groups.
- Basic proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of additional languages—such as local or regional languages—is mandatory.
- Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
