Description
In this highly visible role, you will have process and quality engineering responsibility for next generation Apple products. This will require you to handle selection, implementation & optimization of manufacturing processes and quality planning and deployment. You will utilize your Mechanical Engineering experience and work cross functionally with Product Design Engineering and Industrial Design to assess product features for manufacturability, and recommend capable processes and equipment. You work in tandem with Apple's renowned designers to develop measurement & metrology technologies, quality control plans, information systems, and manufacturing methods that achieve industry-leading specifications at extensive production scale. You will lead a network of supplier factories worldwide, with responsibility for our partners to deliver to aggressive schedules. Our focus is on elegant execution of extraordinary industrial designs, resulting in products that thrill our customers.
Responsibilities
- Supply chain management: identification, development, negotiation, and management of developing Apple soft goods materials suppliers.
- Site lead: Take the lead to facilitate the communication and coordination on cross-functional issues in a timely manner to avoid supply Impact
- Build Support: Engage in new product introduction & readiness review for factory ramp, capacity plan, equipment readiness, labor readiness
- Cost: development, negotiation, and execution of a part and assembly cost strategy.
- Supplier capabilities bring up: An understanding of materials manufacturing processes/ techniques is important to better evaluate supplier capabilities and opportunities for Apple
- On-time delivery: schedule, capacity, and supply planning to meet Apple's / FATP production demand
- Risk Mitigation: evaluation of technical and business risks using data-based analysis and developing sound risk mitigation alternatives
- Program Management: the ability to manage all of the above tasks and personnel resources
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a technical field
- Typically requires 6+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management / Manufacturing background
- English/Mandarin/Japanese proficiency
- Knowing how to use Excel / PowerPoint

- Oversee(Japan/Korea/Taiwan) working experience, Ability to travel up to 50%. Willing to relocate to other countries based on business needs
