Established in 2005 by the King Car Group, Kavalan is Taiwans first whisky distillery. The distillery is capable of carrying out every step of whisky production, from milling all the way through bottling. As of August 2025, Kavalan is exported to over 50 countries and across all 5 continents.

A pioneer in Taiwanese single malt, Kavalan has amassed some of the spirits industrys highest honours, including winning World Whisky Producer of the Year for 5 consecutive years at the International Spirits Challenge (ISC) and Distiller of the Year at the International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC).

About the Role

Kavalan Whisky is seeking an associate Global PR Officer to join our Global Business Development Department. The Global PR Officer will be in charge of executing Kavalans global PR initiatives, maintaining marketing strategies that pertain to public relations, and developing project management plans to foster brand awareness and uphold a positive public image for Kavalan. The job is based in Kavalan Whisky&aposs headquarter office in Taipei, Taiwan.

As a member of the Global Business Development Dept., the Global PR Officer will work alongside the Global Brand Ambassador & Global PR Officer to develop and execute PR initiatives globally and in key export markets.

The candidate will gain a deep understanding of the spirits industry and Kavalan&aposs export markets. The candidate will also have the chance to gain insight into the operations of a global brand headquarter by working with the Global Business Development Dept.&aposs cross-functional teams (including marketing, sales, operations, and creative).

Job Responsibilities

1. Brand Communication, PR and Copywriting Expertise (30%)

• Develop creative content that effectively communicates Kavalan Whisky&aposs core brand values. This role involves writing polished and professional content such as press releases, advertorials, media advertisements, and public relations copy.

2. Media Relations and Stakeholder Engagement (20%)

• Maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and key stakeholders. The officer will coordinate media visits and interviews, manage international press relations, and nurture connections with important stakeholders to strengthen Kavalans global network.

3. Advertisement Procurement and Coordination (20%)

• Conduct the procurement of print and digital advertisements for Kavalans overseas markets. This includes liaising with vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that advertising materials align with the brand&aposs identity and marketing objectives.

4. Event Planning and Execution (20%)

• Assist in organizing and implementing overseas press conferences and brand events. Responsibilities include event planning, coordinating with international teams.

5. Market Research and Competitive Analysis(10%)

• Gather and analyze trends in the spirits industry, including insights on consumer preferences, emerging market dynamics, and competitor strategies.

Experience/Qualifications

• Applicants must be eligible to work in Taiwan
• Professional language proficiency in English and Mandarin. (TOEIC 900/TOEFL iBT 100/IELTS 7.5)
• Previous PR or media management experience (2+ year)
• Great at public speaking and presenting
• Impressive written and verbal communication skills
• Aptitude for strategic problem-solving
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word (or Google Sheets, Slides, Doc)
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Additional Qualifications

• Bachelor&aposs degree in Marketing, Communication, or Foreign Languages
• A strong interest in the spirits and luxury goods industry
• A strong interest in understanding global cultures and interacting with people of all cultural backgrounds
• Experience networking and building relationships with the press
• Limited working proficiency in Japanese or Korean is a big plus!
