Job Overview
The Global Master Data Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the Global Master Data initiative within the company's finance transformation program. This position ensures the accuracy, consistency, and governance of master data across all company sites worldwide. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective collaboration with global stakeholders to uphold data standards and enable reliable reporting and process execution.
The GMD Analyst will work across multiple master data domains, such as materials, customers, vendors, finance‑related structures, product‑related data, inventory data, etc. This role is essential to maintaining high‑quality global data and supporting the standardization and harmonization efforts aligned with the company's transformation roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Global Master Data Governance & Maintenance
- Maintain, update, validate, and monitor global master data in accordance with established rules and standards.
- Ensure accurate and timely data creation, modification, and deactivation following approved governance workflows.
- Support the application of global naming conventions, classification logic, and documentation standards.
Quality Checks & Data Integrity
- Execute regular data quality checks, audits, and consistency reviews across all master data domains.
- Identify data issues such as duplicates, incomplete entries, or inconsistencies, and coordinate corrective actions with global stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of data validation rules and quality controls.
Cross‑Regional Collaboration
- Act as a key point of contact for master data activities across global company sites.
- Support stakeholders worldwide in understanding and applying global master data standards and processes.
- Participate in global coordination meetings and support communication on updates, issues, and improvements.
Project Support
- Support project activities such as data cleansing, migration preparation, testing cycles, and documentation for the Global Master Data initiative.
- Contribute to workshops and readiness activities associated with global transformation efforts.
- Assist in developing global templates, processes, and governance materials.
Reporting & Controls
- Prepare recurring master data quality reports, metrics, and dashboards for global visibility.
- Support compliance activities and audit requests related to master data.
- Monitor adherence to global standards and escalate deviations when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Solid understanding of end‑to‑end processes and how master data supports global business execution.
- Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA, particularly master data structures and workflows.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders across regions and time zones.
- Strong communication skills in Chinese and English (written and spoken).
- Structured, self‑driven, and comfortable working in a dynamic global environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality.
