Overview:
XTERRA is a global lifestyle and off-road sports brand with a mission to livemore with nature. With a team of 30+ passionate individuals spread across APAC, Europe, and the USAmany of whom work remotelywe are growing fast. But growth brings complexity, and were now looking for a Global HR Manager to help us build cohesion, structure, and shared purpose across every corner of our organisation.
This is not a traditional HR role. Its a unique opportunity to become the cultural and operational glue of a globally distributed companyensuring every team member understands their role, feels empowered and supported, and is connected to the bigger picture of who we are and where were going.

Key Responsibilities:
Organisational Development & Structure
- Design and implement clear frameworks for roles, responsibilities, reporting lines, and departmental structure.
- Facilitate alignment across global departments and ensure every employee understands how they contribute to XTERRAs vision.
People Experience & Culture Building
- Create and maintain a Global Staff Handbook that communicates company culture, tools, expectations, values, and working standards.
- Ensure the XTERRA valuesCaring, Exploration, Challenge, and Authenticityare not just understood, but lived across the organisation.
Onboarding, Training & Brand Alignment
- Oversee onboarding processes that are inspiring, informative, and brand-aligned.
- Assess brand literacy and internal engagement, ensuring each employee understands XTERRAs story, mission, and evolving goals.
- Support leadership in cultivating a purpose-driven, collaborative culture across all time zones and offices.
Employee Wellbeing & Satisfaction
- Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns and interpersonal issues.
- Develop regular employee surveys, one-on-one check-ins, and anonymous feedback loops.
- Implement programs to build cohesion, boost morale, and retain top talent.
Performance Review & Operational Auditing
- Conduct regular audits on team functionality and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Identify bottlenecks, communication breakdowns, or role confusionand develop strategies to address them.
- Work with leadership to implement improvements and track progress.
Global HR Administration & Legal Support
- Provide general HR support including contract templates, policy reviews, and internal processes.
- Where needed, research HR regulations in relevant markets to ensure compliancebut this is not a legal-first role.
- Liaise with local experts or third-party vendors as needed to support country-specific issues.
What Were Looking For:
- Proven experience in human resources, people operations, or organizational developmentideally within a distributed or multicultural company.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proactive and empathetic mindset.
- Strategic thinker who can toggle between detail-oriented tasks and high-level cultural initiatives.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and building structure in fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments.
- Deep appreciation for outdoor sports, trail culture, and community-driven brands.
- Fluent in English (Mandarin or additional language skills a bonus).
- Based in Taiwan (or willing to relocate); hybrid working available.
