Exciting General Manager opportunity with a well-established consumer retail business

Your Company
Our client is a well-established consumer retail business with a strong presence across Asia Pacific. Due to continued business growth, they are seeking an experienced senior leader to oversee business performance and expansion in the Taiwan market. This position is based in Taiwan, and applications are welcomed from both Taiwan-based and Hong Kong-based candidates.

This position will be responsible for driving revenue growth, P&L performance, strategic planning, operational excellence, and market development. The role will also work closely with internal stakeholders across sales, marketing, logistics, and human resources to support sustainable business growth and enhance customer experience.

Your Role
You will be accountable for revenue, profitability, budget planning, and overall business growth for the Taiwan market. Responsibilities include developing and executing market strategies, monitoring sales performance, analysing sales, inventory and accounts receivable reports, and identifying opportunities to improve business results. You will lead store expansion initiatives, build strong relationships with landlords and key business partners, and identify new retail locations.
In addition, you will collaborate with third-party logistics providers to manage logistics operations and negotiate service agreements. You will work closely with the marketing team to develop both ATL and BTL campaigns, oversee employee development initiatives, review and enhance employee policies and benefits, and drive a high-performance culture. Regular market visits will be required to understand customer trends, market dynamics, and competitive activities. You will also lead corporate social responsibility initiatives and undertake additional strategic projects as required.

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of retail management experience, preferably with strong exposure to the Taiwan market.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and successfully leading turnaround initiatives within sportswear, fashion, or lifestyle retail brands.
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven business decisions.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, business development, and operational leadership.
  • In-depth understanding of regional market dynamics, consumer trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver sustainable business results.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the region as required.
