Job Description

We are seeking a General Manager for our Joint Venture Stolthaven Revivegen Kaohsiung Co. Ltd. located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. You will be directly responsible for the terminal's profit and loss and will oversee the administration of all local terminal activities, including marketing, operations, customer service, technical, construction, maintenance, safety, environmental, and accounting functions.

What You Will Be Doing

As a General Manager, you will be directly responsible for the terminal profit and loss. You will oversee the administration of all local terminal activities including marketing, operations, customer service, technical, construction, maintenance, safety, environmental and accounting. Represents the company to the shareholders, community, customers, suppliers and governmental agencies. Conducts the business of the company consistent with corporate policies and appropriate business practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate JV relations and administration.
  • Implement and cooperate on the establishment of the Terminals Safety, Security, Environmental and Quality programs to provide for the safety and well being of all employees, visitors, company property and the community. Ensure compliance to all federal, state and local regulations. The Quality program shall guide the Terminal toward efficient and productive operation, profit maximization and responsible handling of the customer product, while supporting the interests of Safety, Security and Environmental stewardship.
  • Ensure all customers receive timely, complete and quality service in accordance with contractual requirements and established operating procedures. This shall be accomplished by, establishing and overseeing all Operational, Marketing and Customer Service activities.
  • Implement effective recruiting, training and development procedures to ensure retention and motivation of qualified employees. Conduct employees performance evaluations based upon individuals job descriptions and corporate administrative policies and procedures.
  • Develop annual capital, revenue and expense budgets. Update and report budgets as required by Corporate guidelines. Ensure proper oversight controls to avoid fraud and non compliance. Oversee revenue collection and enhancement initiatives. Oversee expense and capital projects authorization and expenditure process within established budgets and authority limits. Maximize Terminal's profit potential through budgetary controls and creative business development opportunities.
  • Administers policy matters concerning all staff and hourly personnel including labor union negotiations, staff job description, objectives, annual reviews, scheduling of and compliance with corporate administrative policies and procedures.
  • Ensures terminal compliance with local and national governmental regulation, and Stolt-Nielsen policy. Primary interface in the establishment and implementation of controls to ensure full compliance to Stolt-Nielsen requirements.
  • Oversee the Terminal Asset Maintenance Department to ensure the design and maintenance of the terminal conforms to customer requirements and prevailing regulations, industry and Stolt-Nielsen standards. Establish in cooperation with Global/Regional Engineering standards to minimize capital costs and provide safe and efficient operating equipment and work environment. Maintain the Terminal assets to ensure maximization of the assets life, reliable performance, safety and operating efficiency.
  • Coordinates and directs terminal response to all incidents such as product contamination/loss, property danger, and personnel injuries/accidents. Ensures emergency and contingency procedures are current and that all personnel are trained.
  • Establish terminal objectives for the improvement of the overall profitability and quality of terminal operations and motivates terminal management to meet or exceed these objectives.
  • Maintain good relations with community and neighbors.
  • Ensures personnel are adequately trained and educated for all terminal operation and management.
  • Oversees terminal greenfield and brownfield project execution as project owner.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree and has good management training.
  • Strong knowledge of the Chemical and/or Terminals Industry
  • Solid analytical and financial skills.
  • Strong marketing and sales skills.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
