Responsibilities
- SAS expander and PCIE switch HW/FW architecture
- Define customized SAS expander and PCIE switch FW spec, test plan, and test utility.
- HW and FW troubleshooting with SAS expander and PCIE switch.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and work in a collaborative team environment.
- Interact with cross function teams and customers; Lead or attend meetings internally and interlocks with customers.
- Build necessary FW development environment and lab.
Requirements
- Education Background
- Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Technical Experience
- 5+ years of experience in SAS expander and PCIe switch hardware/firmware development.
- Strong knowledge of SAS protocol, PCIe architecture, and related standards.
- Hands-on experience in firmware specification definition, test plan creation, and test utility development.
- Proficient in HW/FW troubleshooting for SAS expander and PCIe switch systems.
- Programming Tools
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded firmware development.
- Familiarity with Linux environment, scripting (e.g., Python, Shell), and debugging tools.
- Experience in building firmware development environments and setting up lab infrastructure.
- Leadership Collaboration
- Proven ability to lead projects, mentor team members, and work in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and customers, including leading internal and customer meetings.
- Problem-Solving Analytical Skills
- Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills for complex HW/FW issues.
- Ability to define and execute customized solutions for customer requirements.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with storage systems, high-speed interconnects, or server architecture.
- Knowledge of compliance testing and industry standards (e.g., PCI-SIG, SAS standards).
