Job Description
Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree (ii) high proficiency in English and Chinese (iii) a strong track record of high-quality academic publications in SSCI-indexed journals in the field (iv) competence in conceptualising mixed-methods and quantitative research (v) excellent skills in analysing quantitative, preferably longitudinal, data and (vi) knowledge about second language education, artificial intelligence, and English-medium instruction (EMI).
The appointee will be responsible for developing and carrying out the proposed research projects. Duties include (a) planning, conducting, and managing the project (b) producing high-quality research outputs, including writing SSCI journal publications independently and in liaison with the principal investigator (PI) (c) analysing data collected from the projects (d) reviewing literature related to EMI, self-regulated learning, multimodal listening, and artificial intelligence and (e) performing duties related to the project as instructed by the project leader.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing March 2027, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.
