Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care
Full-time/Part-time Nurse
The appointee will assist in multiple clinical research projects in intensive care conducted by the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Most research activities will take place at affiliated study sites, primarily at North District Hospital in Sheung Shui, with additional work and travel required to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital in Tai Po and Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) co-ordinating research studies, including preparing and submitting ethics applications (b) obtaining patient informed consent and collecting blood samples (c) administering study medications (d) collecting data and conducting basic data analysis (e) recruiting and interviewing patients (f) providing researchrelated health education and counselling and (g) performing other researchrelated tasks as assigned. He/She is expected to comply with all relevant research guidelines and ethical frameworks. Regular travel to study sites is required.
Applicants should be/have (i) registered nurses in Hong Kong and (ii) a valid Practising Certificate issued by The Nursing Council of Hong Kong. Having experience in clinical research is an advantage, particularly in: (1) blood and rectal swab collection (2) administration of study medications and (3) database management.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2year contract (with contract-end gratuity for fulltime appointees), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong.
