Reviewing, reworking and approving copy from our translation partners to guide and maintain consistency and quality across varying projects and campaign lengths from short copy to long form (10,000 words +).
Cultural market insight, ensuring special attention is paid to whether content is appropriate and correct for the intended market.
Transcreation and LQA for specific content groups as required.
Leveraging glossaries, style guides and TM's to bring clarity, consistency and accuracy to translations, maintaining the highest possible standards at all times.
Keen eye for detail and linguistic precision to ensure all product, programme and technical language is accurate and on-brand.
Able to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with various stakeholders across an in-country network team.
Managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring timely delivery with a flexible, responsive approach to evolving priorities.
Brand guardianship; responsible for keeping product, brand and market knowledge up to date.
Key requirements:
A minimum of 5 years experience in copyediting and/or subediting for both marketing and technical materials, preferably for a creative or consumer brand.
Native Hong Kong speaker and based in Hong Kong as this role will require you to edit Cantonese and English
Possess familiarity with U.S. English style and usage. As well as a nuanced understanding of language conventions, style and usage.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to perform effectively and efficiently under time pressure.
Experience working for global brands.
Working knowledge of translation and project management tools and a willingness to learn client specific programs and systems.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to focus and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
Possess a solid understanding of the creative development and production process.
Must be flexible and able to adapt within an environment of change.
Ideal candidates will have previous editorial, proofreading, and localisation experience at either an advertising agency, marketing communications group or localisation/transcreation agency.
