What your day-to-day will loo like:

  • Define and lead Brazil's fraud prevention roadmap, aligned with business priorities and regional guidelines
  • Bring local fraud knowledge, benchmarks, regulatory developments, and market trends to support decision-making
  • Maintain strong relationships across the fraud prevention ecosystem, including associations, financial institutions, market participants, and providers
  • Provide regional teams with structured analysis and feedback on policy effectiveness, operational impacts, and improvement opportunities
  • Establish a recurring process to review missed fraud cases, identify root causes and control gaps, and recommend improvements
  • Monitor key fraud metrics and lead the local response to material fraud incidents
  • Maintain SOPs, monitoring routines, escalation criteria, and work closely with Product, Technology, Credit, Operations, CS, and Compliance
  • Build and develop the local fraud team while strengthening Monee's reputation as a safe, reliable, and trustworthy company.


Requirements:

What you need to take on this challenge:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Data, Law, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, particularly Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with fraud monitoring, case management, BI, and data visualization tools
  • Ability to analyze large datasets SQL proficiency is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with fraud prevention technologies, including identity verification, device intelligence, behavioral analytics, and transaction monitoring solutions
  • Business-level English, written and spoken, required for regular interaction with regional teams (Asia)
  • Experience in fraud prevention, fraud risk, or fraud operations, including people leadership
  • Experience building, transforming, or scaling fraud operations and local capabilities
  • Strong knowledge of Brazilian fraud typologies, including Pix, identity, payment, account takeover, and credit fraud.
