About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated FPGA Design Engineer to join our Silicon Photonics development team. You will be responsible for implementing control logic and signal processing pipelines for LiDAR and sensing modules based on integrated photonic technologies. This role requires close collaboration with photonic IC designers, hardware engineers, algorithm developers, and system integration teams to bring cutting-edge sensor prototypes to life. Key Responsibilities Design and develop FPGA logic architecture (Verilog/VHDL) for chirp control, timing synchronization, laser modulation, and data acquisition Implement high-speed data interfaces such as MIPI, LVDS, JESD204, PCIe, or Ethernet Support digital signal processing for FMCW LiDAR, including chirp generation, beat signal capture, FFT processing, and velocity extraction Develop control logic for peripheral devices such as lasers, scanners, ADCs/DACs, and synchronization systems Participate in system testing, debugging, and performance validation in the lab environment Collaborate with algorithm and software teams to realize sensor data pipelines on FPGA platforms Requirements Master's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Photonics, or a related field Proficient in FPGA development using Verilog or VHDL Hands-on experience with Xilinx or Intel FPGA platforms and tools (e.g., Vivado, Quartus, ModelSim) Familiarity with high-speed interface implementation and timing control (e.g., synchronized ADC sampling, SerDes) Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and cross-functionally
