Role Description

As one of our first software engineers, you'll play a foundational role in building our core automation platform and shaping our engineering culture alongside our Founding Lead Engineer. Working closely with our founding team, you'll turn product insights into robust, scalable software that helps legal professionals work smarter. This is a hands-on role focused on technical quality, collaboration, and continuous learning.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Taipei with flexibility for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain our automation platform using Python, SQL/Graph/Vector DBs, and modern AI/LLM technologies
• Develop features that directly improve how legal professionals work
• Contribute to technical architecture and system design discussions
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
• Collaborate effectively across time zones with our US-based founders

Qualifications

Technical Foundation

• 25 years of backend development experience using Python (or similar OO/functional languages)
• Experience with SQL, Graph, or Vector databases
• Understanding of API integration and RESTful services
• Interest in LLM integration (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized systems is a plus
