Overview
SRAM Taiwan is the main manufacturing hub of the business with products exported around the world.
The FP&A Manager will serve as a strategic finance partner to the Taiwan manufacturing organization and play a key role in strengthening the next generation of FP&A capability within the team.
This position is responsible for product costing leadership, financial insight generation, and business decision support across Supply Chain, Operations, and Engineering. In addition to delivering high-quality financial analysis, the role will help evolve the FP&A function from traditional reporting to proactive financial partnership.
The successful candidate will combine strong manufacturing finance expertise with the ability to structure complex financial questions, communicate insights clearly, and mentor team members toward more independent analytical thinking.
This role reports to the Taiwan FP&A Controller and works closely with global finance and operational leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Partnership
- Act as a financial partner to Supply Chain, Operations, and Engineering leadership.
- Translate operational activities into financial insights that support business decisions.
- Provide clear financial perspective on product cost, margins, and operational performance.
Product Costing Leadership
- Lead financial analysis related to product costing, including:
- New product cost estimation
- Standard cost structure
- Cost variance analysis under absorption costing methodology
- Support make-or-buy decisions, sourcing strategies, and cost improvement initiatives.
Decision Support & Financial Insight
- Structure financial analysis to address complex or ambiguous business questions.
- Identify key cost drivers and provide actionable recommendations.
- Evaluate the financial impact of operational decisions on profitability and working capital.
FP&A Capability Development
- Contribute to the evolution of FP&A practices within the Taiwan team.
- Mentor and support team members in developing stronger analytical thinking and business partnership skills.
- Encourage structured problem solving and ownership of financial analysis.
Planning & Performance Management
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities.
- Provide financial insights during operational reviews and management discussions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with global finance and operational teams to ensure financial transparency and alignment across regions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant area – Accounting, Finance or related field
- 10+ years of experience in Manufacturing Finance, Cost Accounting, FP&A or Operational Finance
- Strong experience with standard costing and variance analysis
- Experience supporting operational decision-making in manufacturing environments
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and engineering teams
- ERP system experience (SAP preferred)
- Strong English communication skills
