Role Overview

The role supports the daily Reporting work for the Company's brokerage business, working closely with Operations, IT, Compliance, Risk, counterparties and system vendors. The successful candidate will perform daily client-money segregation, regulatory filings, month-end closing and continuous process improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform various daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual regulatory reporting to the SGX & MAS.
  • Perform reconciliations of upstream counterparty statements for the brokerage business.
  • Perform month-end account closing activities and prepare monthly schedules for the relevant entities, including intercompany reconciliations.
  • Execute daily trust and custody computations in compliance with the Securities and Futures (Licensing and Conduct of Business) Regulations (SF(LCB)R).
  • Candidate must be familiar with the rules and requirement of SGX and MAS Risk-Based Capital framework.
  • Handle yearly statutory audit — collate/prepare audit schedules, draft statutory accounts and respond to auditors queries.
  • Assist in budgeting, cash-flow forecasting and financial analysis, including collating information from departments and analysing actual-vs-budget variances.
  • Perform any ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Banking or a related discipline.
  • 3–6 years of experience in finance, accounting, reconciliations or audit; brokerage/fintech/bank/custodian experience is a plus.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/CA) or working towards is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with client-money or general-ledger reconciliations.
  • Working knowledge of SGX RBC & MAS regulatory reporting (Forms 1, 2, 7, 8, 9 and Exposure Form) is an advantage.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivots, lookups, large-volume reconciliation); hands-on SAP knowledge is an advantage.
  • Analytical, meticulous, independent and a collaborative team player, able to investigate issues independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and written skills in both English and Chinese (required), as the role works closely with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders at HQ.
