The Finance Manager – Taiwan Branch Office is responsible for overseeing all finance, accounting, and compliance activities of the Taiwan branch, ensuring full alignment with Accelleron Group policies, US GAAP, local statutory requirements, and internal control standards.
The role acts as a finance partner to the local business, while working in close collaboration with Accelleron Finance Shared Services and CoEs to ensure efficient execution of transactional processes, consistent application of Group standards, and continuous improvement of finance operations.
- Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee end‑to‑end financial accounting ownership for the Taiwan branch, including GL, AR, AP, fixed assets, accruals, and provisions, with transactional execution supported by Finance Shared Services.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close in accordance with Accelleron Group close calendar.
- Review and validate financial postings and reconciliations prepared by shared services, ensuring completeness and accuracy before close sign‑off.
- Prepare and review management reporting packages, variance analyses, and financial insights for regional and global stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting in SAP, including correct use of Group ledgers (e.g. US GAAP and local GAAP ledgers, where applicable).
- Act as the local owner for financial data quality and resolve accounting issues in coordination with shared services and regional finance.
- Statutory, Tax & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Taiwan local GAAP, statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Manage corporate income tax, withholding tax, VAT / business tax, and other local tax matters, including filings and payments.
- Coordinate statutory audits and tax reviews with external auditors, tax advisors, and Group Finance.
- Ensure statutory and tax requirements are clearly communicated and properly embedded into shared service processes.
- Support transfer pricing documentation, intercompany reconciliations, and compliance with Accelleron intercompany policies.
- Business Partnering & Commercial Finance
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to local management, sales, and operations.
- Provide analysis and insights on price, margins, cost control, and business performance
- Monitor actuals versus budget and forecast; explain variances with corrective actions.
- Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes in alignment with regional and Group guidelines.
- Finance Shared Services & CoE Collaboration
- Serve as the primary finance interface between the Taiwan branch and Accelleron Finance Shared Services / CoEs (e.g. AP, AR, GL, Master Data).
- Ensure smooth and timely execution of transactional activities by shared services
- Proactively identify and resolve process inefficiencies, data quality issues, and recurring errors in collaboration with shared services and regional finance.
- Support process transitions, stabilization, and knowledge transfer between the local finance team and shared services.
- Treasury & Cash Management
- Oversee local cash flow and working capital, in line with Accelleron treasury policies.
- Ensure timely intercompany settlements and coordination with Group Treasury and shared services.
- Responsible for the local bank relationships, including the management of bank accounts and bank related administration (signatories, bank portals)
- Audit, Processes & Continuous Improvement
- Act as key finance contact for internal and external audits, review audit schedules supported by Shared services, responding to audit queries efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain strong segregation of duties and control ownership, ensuring clarity between local finance and shared services responsibilities.
- Drive continuous improvement of finance processes, leveraging shared services, best practices, and system enhancements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
- Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 7 – 10 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, ideally within a multinational organization.
- Experience managing finance for a branch office or legal entity within a regional structure.
- Strong hands‑on knowledge of financial accounting, statutory reporting, and tax.
- Experience working under US GAAP and local GAAP frameworks.
- Solid experience with ERP systems (S4H Public cloud preferred) and working with structured month‑end close processes.
- Prior exposure to FI Shared Services or CoE operating models is highly desirable.
