Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Finance

  • Manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions, including AR, AP, GL, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
  • Prepare management accounts, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Oversee project costing, progress claims, collections, retention sums, and subcontractor payments.
  • Drive collections, credit control, and payment recovery to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting, tax, GST, CPF, and statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with auditors, bankers, tax agents, lawyers, and clients.

HR & Administration

  • Oversee payroll, recruitment, HR administration, and statutory compliance.
  • Manage office administration, insurance, licences, contracts, and company assets.
  • Maintain effective policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Leadership

  • Lead and supervise the Accounts Assistant and HR & Admin Executive.
  • Support management with financial analysis, budgeting, and business planning.
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong hands-on experience in full set of accounts, cash flow management, and credit control.
  • Familiarity with project costing, progress claims, retention sums, and subcontractor payments.
  • Knowledge of payroll, CPF, GST, and statutory compliance.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Independent, hands-on, commercially minded, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
