Job Summary
The Finance Executive manages full sets of finance functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and procurement to support the school's financial operations and ensure accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Verify supplier invoices for accuracy and validity, securing necessary approvals for payment processing
- Enter financial data accurately into accounting systems to maintain up-to-date records
- Manage student billing processes to ensure timely and correct invoicing
- Oversee procurement activities to fulfill school purchasing needs efficiently
- Monitor and reconcile uniform stock and sales monthly to maintain inventory accuracy
- Process student refunds promptly and accurately when required
- Compile and verify staff reimbursement claims to ensure correctness
- Support daily finance operations to maintain smooth financial workflows
- Perform purchasing functions to meet school operational requirements
- Provide backup support for Front Desk duties as needed to ensure continuous service
- Execute other ad-hoc finance-related tasks as assigned to support school operations
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma in Accounting or equivalent qualification
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in finance or accounting
- Knowledge of full sets of accounting processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAGE accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks
- Effective communication skills for clear interaction with stakeholders
- Interpersonal skills to engage professionally with parents and students
