ROLE OVERVIEW
The Controller will be a key member of USEReady's Finance leadership team, responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, payroll and internal controls for the India entity. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented Chartered Accountant who brings strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-growing, technology-driven organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting & Accounting
Own end-to-end accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Indian GAAP / Ind AS
Drive timely month-end and year-end close processes with high accuracy
Manage consolidation of financials for all the entities of USEReady
Statutory Compliance & Audit
Ensure full compliance with all applicable statutes: Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, TDS, FEMA, RBI, transfer pricing, and SEZ/STPI regulations
Lead statutory, tax, and internal audits; serve as primary liaison with external auditors and regulators
File all regulatory returns and reports in a timely and accurate manner
Stay current with regulatory changes and proactively assess their impact on the business
Treasury & Cash Management
Oversee cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and banking relationships
Manage foreign currency exposures and intercompany transactions and settlements
Optimize working capital and support efficient fund utilization
Internal Controls & Governance
Design, implement, and continuously improve internal control frameworks and finance policies
Identify control gaps and drive remediation in collaboration with operations and leadership
Champion financial governance and risk management practices across the organization
Business Partnering & Advisory
Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights, cost analysis, and decision support
Drive automation and process improvement initiatives within the finance function
Support due diligence, M&A activities, or new entity setups as required
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Chartered Accountant (CA) — mandatory; cleared from ICAI
Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years in a senior finance manager role
Strong hands-on experience with Indian GAAP, Ind AS, GST, income tax, and transfer pricing
Prior experience in a technology services, IT/ITeS, or global captive/GCC environment preferred
Experience handling multi-currency accounting and cross-border transactions
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or equivalent) and MS Excel
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently under deadlines
PREFERRED / NICE-TO-HAVE
Exposure to US GAAP or IFRS reporting
Familiarity with data analytics or BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) for financial reporting
CPA, CMA, or MBA Finance as an additional qualification
