In this individual contributor role, you will be the financial anchor for our Taiwan start-up coffee chain, ensuring our full sets are spotless, our vendors are paid on time, and our expansion is backed by rigorous financial analysis. If you have a sharp eye for detail—honed by an audit background—and understand the unique rhythm of Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), we want you on our team.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 3+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with a strong ability to manage full sets of accounts independently.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) are highly preferred.
- Previous experience in an external audit firm (Big 4 or mid-tier) is a strong preference, giving you the rigorous foundation needed for compliance and internal controls.
- Exposure to Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), F&B, or multi-outlet retail accounting is highly advantageous. You understand food costs, high-volume transactions, and POS system integrations.
- Based in Taipei, Taiwan. Professional fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English is required for effective local and regional communication.
- A self-starter who thrives on challenges such as setting up accounting process and implementing accounting system, etc.
Job Role:
- Full-Cycle Accounting: Take complete ownership of the financial closing process, maintaining accurate full sets of accounts for our Taiwan operations in compliance with local regulations.
- AP & AR Mastery: Oversee the end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring smooth vendor payments and efficient daily store-level cash and digital reconciliations.
- Reporting & Insights: Prepare, review, and present monthly financial statements and management reports. Go beyond the numbers to analyze profit margins, store-by-store performance, and operational variances.
- Audit & Compliance: Act as the primary liaison for internal and external auditors, leading the year-end audit process and ensuring strict compliance with Taiwan's tax laws (including GUI and corporate tax requirements).
- Process Optimization: Implement robust internal controls and streamline accounting workflows to support our fast-paced retail environment and scaling footprint.
