Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining high standards of quality control over all reporting outputs.
- Support the senior management team in developing comprehensive annual budget plans by gathering assumptions from various sources, generating profit and loss statements, and conducting detailed analysis as required.
- Participate actively in the creation of three-year strategic plans by building clear financial pictures for each business segment, thereby assisting in informed strategic decision-making processes.
- Forecast monthly profit and loss by category to predict segment performances accurately, guiding business units towards stronger full-year planning and effective project execution.
- Provide valuable insight into key variances and emerging business trends, identifying risks and opportunities along with actionable recommendations to ensure both short-term targets and long-term objectives are met.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes to facilitate efficient financial operations across the organisation.
- Analyse complex business issues by identifying root causes and barriers, contributing thoughtful ideas and actions that lead to incremental improvements or significant breakthroughs in business operations.
- Understand commercial strategies thoroughly and provide proactive financial advisory services that enhance alignment between finance and commercial activities.
- Deliver financial analysis for new business propositions such as product launches, customer contracts, sales promotions, marketing campaigns, capital investments, and other strategic initiatives.
- Execute weekly treasury operations including timely payments, accounts receivable collection, reconciliation tasks, cash reporting, projections, online banking activities, insurance support requests, bank relationship management, liquidity monitoring, and documentation of treasury policies.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or equivalent work experience is essential for this position.
- Five to ten years experience in accounting or finance-related functions is required to ensure you can handle the complexity of this role.
- Proven track record in budgeting processes, forecasting techniques, business analysis methodologies, and management reporting is necessary for success.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles combined with practical knowledge of financial modelling techniques is expected.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while remaining dependable within a collaborative team environment is highly valued.
