Onsite a Japanese multinational semiconductor (SEMI) manufacturer (aims for volume 2 nm production), it provides energy-saving foundry services, and advanced packaging solutions, incl. chiplet and 3D technologies.

Global Field Service Engineer - Tainan

(全球裝機工程師 - 台南)

Responsibilities:

• Travel: Willing to travel outside Taiwan for training and deployment. Flexible to travel to Europe, Japan, US & Korea depending on project requirements.
• Perform T0 to T2 (Milestones of SEMI - Equipment installation): T0 | Tool Arrival / Pre-Installation (Tool Move-In), T1 | Installation & Hookup Complete, T2 | Qualification & Acceptance.
• Support Tool roll-in, Positioning, and Installation activities at customer sites
• Perform Cabling and Connection of Utilities (Electrical, Gas, Water, CDA, Exhaust)
• Assist in Equipment setup, Leveling, and Alignment
• Follow Installation procedures, checklists, and Safety guidelines
• Support Sr. engineers during: Tool hookup, Initial power-on, Basic functional checks
• Ensure proper Routing and Securing of Cables and Utility lines
• Maintain installation Logs, checklists, and Documentation
• Adhere strictly to EHS & Cleanroom protocols
• Demonstrate positive attitude, discipline, and readiness to work hard in project environments

Min. Qualifications:

• B.S. & above in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics or related technical discipline
• 0–3 years of exp. in Manufacturing / Field Service / EMS industry
• Basic exposure to Equipment installation, Assembly, or Maintenance activities
• Good English communication skills (spoken & written), TOEIC >550 or equivalent certificate.
• Strong willingness to learn, adapt, and work in challenging environments
• Willingness to work in Cleanroom / Fab environments and Global project sites
• Electrical Schematics, Electrical-Power Transmission
• Comp. skill: exp. using Excel, Word, PPT
• Basic understanding of: Electromechanical systems, Electrical wiring & connections, Mechanical assembly & alignment
• Knowledge of: Tool roll-in, positioning, and installation practices
• Utility connections: Electrical power, Gas lines, Water / Cooling systems
• Familiar with: Hand tools, Torque tools, and basic Measurement tools. Safety standards and EHS practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to semiconductor / industrial equipment installation.
• Ability to read basic Drawings, Layouts, and Schematics.

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to read and interpret Technical journals & Reports
• Ability to compile Reports and compose routine Correspondence
• Ability to define Problems, Collect data, establish Facts, and draw Valid conclusions.
• Ability to Travel extensively, when requested by client.

Language:

• Bilingual Mandarin and English – Read, write and Speak

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Work is performed at the factory and individual customer sites as required
• The incumbent is routinely required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, touch, see, and hear, and may be required to lift or move up to 50 lb. (<=40 kg); over 50 lb. w/ assistance. Ability to claim ladders, Squat, Crawl into machines for Installations.
• While performing the regular duties of the position, the incumbent is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and possible exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. The incumbent must be able to wear safety equipment and follow safety instructions.
